New Blog - New Projects

The Knit Dr has a very big assignment ahead! This is the shoulder of my sweet pea coat, my 100% Superwash Merino Sweet Pea Coat! I washed it...apparently the "super" in superwash is anything but that!
So I will be attempting to rip back and pick up and make new - I am sure it is possible but it is also still daunting! I just can't imagine not trying though - so wish me luck as I get my tools ready!

On a happier note I started 2 new projects to get my withdrawals under control! I am doing another Clapotis made with Noro Lily, which is a silk and cotton blend - perfect for California, Spring & Summer!
I also started a shawl named Springtime Bandit with Pagewood Farms Alyeska, a merino, cashmere and nylon blend in the colorway "Peaceful"!

I am hoping to attempt surgery on my coat tomorrow while my kiddo is at school! I hope I will have better pics to post tomorrow!

  1. Gah!! What was it in with? Something that caught on it like a zipper? Failure of superwash would generally mean it would felt rather than fray.

  2. That's true Cindy! Actually there was nothing in there - I am thinking it got stuck on the spinner in the washer!
