Ever Chase the Mailman Down?

So I bought some yarn from someone on Ravelry. Some really nice yummy pretty yarn. 4 skeins of it and I when I went out of town I figured I would have it to stare at when I got home, but nope - it wasn't here and I was worried about it because it was sent within the same state. So I found out that there was a mail room mix-up & it was on its way. So it would be here by Saturday. Well this being Saturday I was very anxious for the mail! I went to our mailbox (which is across the street & is for everyone on the block.) Yay the key for the package box was in there, so I open it up & ...what a package for my neighbor - seriously? I went down to the house to ask if he could check his box to see if the keys were switched and of course he wasn't home! So I started back towards the house when I saw the mail truck. And then I grabbed my keys put my kiddo in his car seat and chased down the mailman! I found him and asked him to come back and check if he had switched the keys. Well he had and now I have my beautiful yarn!!! :D

To Love or to Loathe

Ahh...sock yarn - to love you or to loathe you! I think you are gorgeous and lovely and yummy and and and! But you are also taking over my life because I just want MORE! I am lacking in self control! Must gain it back! Although I am not sure how much self control anyone can have around Merino & Cashmere at discounted prices! Or new colors of Jitterbug!

My LYS, Ravelry Destash & Three Irish Girls sock club have been my HUGE downfall (or my YUMMY pleasure) this week! I LOVE it all but feel so naughty! At least I can say I have been knitting away as well! And I do have such plans for it all!

I am currently working on my 2 projects from my last post & added another Ana Bandanna to the mix! I am thinking that I will always have a Ana & a Clapotis on the needles for my mindless go with me anywhere projects! They are awesome & so wearable! :)

I am going out of town for a few days but when I get back I should have all my new beautiful yarn to take pics to post for you to see! And I should have a LOT of knitting done to talk about!

New Blog - New Projects

The Knit Dr has a very big assignment ahead! This is the shoulder of my sweet pea coat, my 100% Superwash Merino Sweet Pea Coat! I washed it...apparently the "super" in superwash is anything but that!
So I will be attempting to rip back and pick up and make new - I am sure it is possible but it is also still daunting! I just can't imagine not trying though - so wish me luck as I get my tools ready!

On a happier note I started 2 new projects to get my withdrawals under control! I am doing another Clapotis made with Noro Lily, which is a silk and cotton blend - perfect for California, Spring & Summer!
I also started a shawl named Springtime Bandit with Pagewood Farms Alyeska, a merino, cashmere and nylon blend in the colorway "Peaceful"!

I am hoping to attempt surgery on my coat tomorrow while my kiddo is at school! I hope I will have better pics to post tomorrow!
